Sunday Fun! 2Nov08

Finally yall get to see Travis in all his KidStuf glory! His character is quite interesting, you never know what he is going to say or how he is going to be dressed. This cowboy/bullrider outfit is a great example. Gotta Love Him!

After church our friends, Brent, Amber and Riley, came over for dinner. Before it got dark the boys went fishing...

The crew-Brady, Travis, Riley, and Brent- reeling in a catfish.

Once inside Brady wanted to try out his new cowboy outfit that our precious friend, Jill got for him. He thought he was pretty big stuff because Daddy had his cowboy stuff on earlier in the day.

Ride 'em cowboy! He was so excited to ride the bull..."Outside"...

Riley wanted a turn on the bull as well. He did a great job for his first bullrider experience...Travis doesn't know what he started!

We had a great time and look forward to more memories together! Until next time...

Now and Then...

Thought you might enjoy this comparison from last Halloween and this Halloween since we did almost the exact same thing...fun to look at pics again...

Sure goes by fast and he sure has grown...I guess! Have a great start to the holiday season!

Halloween 2008

Here is the big fireman getting ready to go to the Fall Festival at church. He was pretty excited to wear his costume, but refused to actually put on the hat or coat. Since the boots are a regular part of his wardrobe now, they were not an issue!
Look! We are actually all in the same picture!

There were plenty of games to play with candy to get! First stop, because the hay ride and tractor were gone, was the bean bag toss. Of course Brady played shy for a little while, but he eventually got the hang of it...

On to the favorite! Golf! Mr. Ronnie and Miss Jenny were helping the kids at this station. Mr. Ronnie (kept Travis at church when he was little, and now is with Brady too) made sure to tell Brady that this was a "PUTTING" game, not a "DRIVING" game. I guess he has had experience with Brady's golf skills?!?!

We ran into this little boy coming in the door. Brady looked at him, and was a little shy, but I know he will enjoy his picture with "Dale Jinnin" (Dale Junior), actually Christopher.

Finally! The tractor is back for the hayride. Grinning like a possum...

Once back inside it was straight to the "jumpin thing". Last year he would have nothing to do with it. Now, he jumped at least twice.

These are our friends Beau and Alicia's boys. Jack is about 4 yrs dressed as Buzz Lightyear. Isaac is a little over a year dressed as Woody! How Cute! We also saw lots of other friends: Olivia and Owen = TinkerBell and PeterPan, AnnaTipton and Jack = Tortise and the Hare, Micah = monkey with a "nanna in his pocket", and Dylan = Batman.

This game went well. He has not used an actual basketball hoop before. Surprise, surprise...

Of course the fishing game had to be played at least twice also...

On to another "PUTTING" game. He did so well! He almost made it into the cup on every try. It must be holding the mouth just right...

We had a great time once again this year. Sure beats walking around with all of the other crazies in the cold. Although not as cold as Colorado!!! LoveYall!

Pumpkin Party!

Travis' cousin Kimberly has a pumpkin carving party every year. Here I am working on Brady's pumpkin. No, not the one in my shirt! The one on the table! Kimberly gave Brady this dump truck and you know she was the favorite for the rest of the night!
Brady was proud of his pumpkin that "Mama made for me!"
Cute little face...
Happy Fall!

Early October 2008

Today we had a play date at the house...Andrew and Brady... Brady and Riley...sharing the "fire boots" and the "hunting boots"!
We have to capture these moments on camera as much as possible because it doesn't happen often!
All ready to go to the football game! He insisted on wearing his "football shirt with the number 1 on it"!
Upon arrival home, the boys had to have their own football game...look at that form!

September 2008

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY BRADY!

He thought this card was the best...Thomas the Tank Engine-BeepBeep...we had cake and icecream with "Trenny and Papaw". It was small and sweet and fun.
We got Brady another piece for his Thomas collection and some more track. Daddy did a good job of making a big set for him.
These days we spend a lot of time at the pond by our condo. There are lots of bluegill and catfish and some bass. Brady has learned to cast and catch his own fish! "I do it myself!" Sweet boys...
This weekend was the big Tennessee vs. Flordia football game. Travis' friend John came up from Georgia for the game on Saturday. We had our own rivalry game right in the living room! Go Big Orange!
Our friends, Brent, Amber, and Riley gave this monster truck to Brady for his birthday! It has been a favorite ever since. Note also the "fire boots" that are almost a staple in Brady's wardrobe since bringing them home from Colorado!

August 2008

Brady and I traveled to Colorado to visit my family this August. We stayed almost the whole month! It was tough being away from Travis, but it was really nice to spend time in warm weather with my family since we usually visit in winter!

We took several trips to see my dad at work, where Brady became an expert backhoe operator!

Probably the biggest hit of the trip was the "4-da-weeda"...almost nightly rides with anyone who would take him. If he was big enough he would take himself because he sure knew how to operate it! And if you did it wrong, he would tell you just how to do it.

We spent some time in Colorado Springs with Travis' mom and step-dad Ray. Brady made a point to go outside and show off his football skills. Including tackling Grandma Janice when she was least expecting it!
Grandpa was great to spend so much time with Brady and teach him new things. My sister and I used this mini bow and arrow set when we were young. Brady thought he was pretty big stuff to be able to shoot after watching Grandpa shoot his big bow!
Oh yes, the water hose and mud! How many nights were we having "patio time" watching Brady play with water or mud or dirt or any combination of the three?! You know that was a good time!
It was sweet to see my parents with Brady. Funny thing happens when parents become grandpartents! LoveYall!

We had a great time in Colorado and can't wait to see everyone again soon!

GA trip #1

Time for our annual trip to Georgia for the LowCountryBoil on 4th of July weekend! Talk about amazing food and wonderful company! The boys had to go outside and play baseball before we left. Jake had given Brady a bat that was too small for him...
Brady, all out, swinging for the fences!

Keep your eye on the ball! He did pretty good considering he is a golfer and not a baseball player!

And, of course, All-Star Jake!

Then...we got to Nancy's house for the boil...She bought all of the KIDS lots of different toys to play with while they were there...Travis could not help himself...

Nice bubba teeth, honey!

When we got home, Brady had to wear his baseball pants that Jake gave him and sit with his bat. I wasn't too sure we were going to get the pants off him or the bat from his hands, but we managed. He still wants to go to "my baseball field"...where that came from, who knows?!?!

We had a great time! Thanks to John and Nancy for making us feel at home! LoveYall!
I will post more pics when I get them.

It's a baby brother!

Today we went to the doctor for our 20+ week ultrasound. We are having another boy! Very excited. He was very active and squirmy.

The first 2 pictures show him with his foot by his head and his fist at his mouth. He kept opening and closing his mouth and sticking his tongue out. I guess he was trying to figure out how that all worked...

Well, I am yet to tell Brady that he is not going to have a "baby sister at my house". I am waiting for Travis to get home. With Brady you never know the reaction or comment he might make, so I did not want Travis to miss it!

All looks good for 12-7-08 still! Even though Brady can't have a "baby sister at my house" he will still be able to "hold my baby at Christmas"!

Keep you posted!
